About Burnside Family Law
We’re not a high-volume firm. We work with real people navigating some of life’s most personal and challenging moments, offering clear guidance, thoughtful strategy, and support every step of the way. Burnside Family Law exists to help real people navigate some of the most personal, high-stakes moments of their lives with clarity, strategy, and zero pretense.
Family law is rarely just about legal forms or courtrooms, it’s about your kids, your home, your finances, and your future. We take that seriously. Our job is to keep your case focused, your options clear, and your energy directed where it actually matters. You won’t find generic templates or vague promises here. Just thoughtful legal work, straightforward communication, and a commitment to protecting what matters most.
Our Approach
Haley K. Burnside
Founding Attorney
Licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 2016, Haley Burnside began her career at the Houston firm Fullenweider Wilhite, where she practiced exclusively for the first 9 years of her career. There, she trained alongside some of the most respected attorneys in the field such as Donn Fullenweider and Randall Wilhite, gaining not only meaningful litigation and negotiation experience, but also a strong foundation in client-centered, ethical advocacy.
In 2025, Haley launched Burnside Family Law to build a practice that reflects her values: clarity, efficiency, and transparency. She tells clients the truth, even when it’s hard, so they can make smart, strategic choices in the moments that matter most. She’s as comfortable negotiating a creative resolution as she is taking a case to trial and is known for distilling complex issues into practical advice. She’s represented clients from every walk of life, entrepreneurs, engineers, lawyers, professors, stay-at-home parents, and working professionals, each with their own priorities and challenges. She knows that no two families look the same, and no two solutions should either. She understands that family law is about more than legal outcomes, it’s about helping people protect what matters and move forward with dignity and direction.
Outside of her practice, Haley enjoys time with her husband, their young daughter, and a lively crew of animals. She’s a firm believer in good food, unfiltered honesty, and keeping perspective through life’s toughest moments.

More Than Just Legal Help
You don’t have to fix this by yourself. If you’re ready for someone else to carry the legal weight, let’s talk. You’ve got someone to worry about the legal side now. Sit tight, take a breath, and let’s get started.
Haley K. Burnside
Founding Attorney
Haley Burnside is a family law attorney who brings nearly a decade of experience and client-focused advocacy to her practice. Licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 2016, Haley began her career at the prestigious family law firm Fullenweider Wilhite, where she practiced exclusively until launching her own firm. During her time there, she worked side by side with some of the most respected attorneys in the field, learning not just how to litigate and negotiate effectively, but how to do so with compassion, clarity, and candor.
Haley represents individuals in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody disputes, enforcement actions, and premarital and postmarital agreements. She is equally comfortable negotiating favorable settlements as she is advocating at final trial. Her clients include business owners, professors, engineers, attorneys, teachers, accountants, and homemakers, each of whom she supports with tenacity, insight, and unfiltered honesty.
Her approach is grounded in telling clients the truth, even when it’s hard. She believes clients are best served when they understand both the strengths and limitations of their case from the outset, so they can make informed, strategic decisions. Haley is known for her ability to distill complex legal issues into practical advice and for being the kind of attorney who values long-term outcomes over short-term wins.
While Haley deeply respects the mentorship she received and the legacy of excellence she was part of at Fullenweider Wilhite, she launched her own law firm because she knew it was time to build something of her own. A natural leader with a vision for a practice grounded in efficiency, transparency, and empathy, Haley created a firm that reflects her values, and her voice.
Clients who work with Haley quickly learn she is as relatable as she is rigorous. She is direct, occasionally funny, always honest, and fiercely invested in helping clients move forward, not just legally, but personally. She understands that family law is about more than court orders; it’s about helping people regain control of their lives, protect what matters, and move toward something better.
Haley doesn’t chase conflict for the sake of it. She helps clients focus on what truly matters, cut through the noise, and make choices that protect their future. Sometimes that means fighting hard in court. Other times, it means telling a client that the battle they’re ready to wage just isn’t worth the cost.
At the heart of Haley’s practice is a simple but rare quality: she genuinely cares. She cares about the people she represents. She cares about the integrity of her work. And she cares about ensuring that when a case ends, her clients feel heard, supported, and equipped to start the next chapter.
When she is not practicing law, Haley is chasing her young daughter alongside her husband, eating delicious food, and spending time with her many animals.
